The hardcore Corsa OPC Nürburgring Edition
The pilgrimage of sports driving fanatics around the world is long 20 and some km. and christened by Sir Jackie Stewart "green hell".
The "old" Nürburgring, today, it may not be used for an F1 Grand Prix but it is a by no means easy track that drivers are happy to pay the relevant price for. But mostly it's today, sports car development site, which manufacturers duly honor.
Opel wanting to present a more hardcore version of the Corsa OPC, dropped her little GTi into the 'Ring's twisty pit and began the evolution. Opera and it happened, the collectible – just in 500 parts – Opel Corsa OPC Nürburgring Edition.
He also has grace
The act shows that the interventions of the people of the Opel Performance Center completely took place. First of all, grip margins climbed even higher and the 'special' Corsa OPC corners much faster and spectacularly.
A big contribution to this is the tighter and lowered suspension, but mainly the new locking front differential, which passes the extra power very efficiently to the road with a subtle pull on the steering wheel. But the latter does not have the feeling that would suit it, as a result you need adjustment time before blindly trusting it and marking the next apexes.
Cornering gradients have been eliminated, but the price on Greek roads is paid in comfort, also due to the low profile 225/35/R18 tires, which in addition need attention so as not to be injured in the malpractices.
But taking advantage of the power of the engine, the immediacy of the frame and the high grip, you easily forget comforts and such daily occurrences and find yourself ecstatic to play with the limits of grip while enjoying the adjustability of the frame, the least intrusive ESP (it turns off anyway) and the dynamic brakes, which we wish had a less spongy feel.
4 thousands...
For the "package" that comes with the collector's edition of the Corsa OPC someone will have to pay 4.000 euro. Although times are tough, I would hardly turn my back on him. And not only because maturity is a word that remains out of my vocabulary, but because with this Corsa you can shoot indiscriminately. And enjoy it, of course, of course…
Interior: "Special" and quality
The interior of the Corsa OPC Nürburgring is based on the corresponding part of the Corsa OPC, having some distinctive details of uniqueness. So we come across decorative door sills in black/red with the Nürburgring logo, while the corresponding name is also written on the backs of the front sports seats by Recaro, which is literally all the money.
also, both the front ones, as well as the back seats, stand out for the white vertical and horizontal stitching found on both the handbrake and gear selector.
What is included in the Nürburgring edition "package".
– Maximum power 210 horsepower and torque 250 Nm
– Front differential lock
– Bilstein sports shock absorbers and Eibach springs.
– Lower vs 20 mm.
– Reinforced front disc brakes and 4-piston Brembo calipers
– New setting for Traction Control and ESP
– Super sport bucket seats with the track badge on top
– Dual rear exhaust
– Characteristic rims 18 inches
Engine – Performance: He shoots
This new version comes with changes to the very capable 1,6 turbo engine of the Corsa OPC (B.C. new settings on turbine and engine management, sportier export etc.), so as to offer 18 horsepower above (210 overall) and 20 Nm of torque in addition (250 overall – 280 Nm with Overboost). In practice, these changes have given the car a more "explosive" character, as expressed through our measurements.
For the 0-100 km/h are required 6,9 δλ. (against 7,3 of the Corsa OPC), top speed rose to 230 km / h (+5 km / h), the 60-100 km/h with 4th/5th coming in 5,3/6,9 δλ. (5,4/7,4 δλ. in the Corsa OPC) and the 80-120 km/h with 5th/6th is an assumption 7,2/9,0 δλ. (7,4/9,2 δλ. in the simple).

The all-new Porsche Boxster
The third generation of the Porsche Boxster is very different from the previous ones... The new model is not only very different in design, but it also has substantial testing changes. It is based on a significantly upgraded and more capable floor and its body is much lighter, as it is made of aluminum, instead of steel!
also, has considerably longer trajectories, longer wheelbase, smaller overhangs and a smaller bonnet, meaning the passenger cabin has grown forward.
In terms of design, the new Boxster has a "flatter" silhouette, with elements that refer to the original 918 Spyder. Even the roof of the new Boxster is different and now opens and closes 100% automatically and stored in the luggage compartment.
A six-cylinder unit is now placed under the hood 2,7 lt replacing the engine 2,9 lt. Despite the smaller capacity, the new motor performs 10 more horsepower (overall 265 PS) and gives better performance (0-100 km/h σε 5,7 sec) and lower consumption (7,7 lt/100 km).
The Boxster S retains the same engine 3,4 lt, which, however, now produces five more horsepower (overall 315 PS) and it also has improved performance (0-100 km/h σε 5,0 sec) and lower consumption (8,0 lt/100 km). Both versions are available as standard with a six-speed manual gearbox and as an option with the 7-speed dual-clutch PKD.
Sales of the all-new and significantly improved Porsche Boxster will begin next spring.
Opel Mokka
The compact SUV market has been growing lately, and GM wants to create its own momentum in the segment. The Mokka is nothing but a variant of Buick's Encore that will make its debut these days at the Detroit Auto Show.
The Mokka will be seen both under the Opel brand, as with that of Vauxhall (in the United Kingdom).
The Opel Mokka will be available in a five-seater configuration and will offer plenty of storage space. The volume of the luggage compartment with the rear seats folded down reaches 1.372 liters while there are several additional storage spaces for small items.
Opel has been tight-lipped about the features of its new model, which will essentially compete with the Nissan Juke and other SUVs of the same category.
The Mokka will be available with a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine 140 horses, a 1.6-liter gasoline engine; 115 horses and 1.7 CDTI diesel. The prospective buyer will be able to choose between a manual and an automatic gearbox. Both will be 6 relations.
The Mokka will be available with two or all wheel drive while the engines will have the Start system / Stop for low consumption and low emissions.
The Opel Mokka will go on sale in Europe at the end of this year 2012.
