With new reduced prices, Seat has announced that it has the diesel versions of the Ibiza and Leon in our country.

More specifically Ibiza 1.2 TDI Common Rail performance 75 horses, with average consumption 3.8 lt./100 km. (3,4 lt./100 km. in the E-Ecomotive version), now offered at the following prices:

Ibiza SC 1.2 TDI CR Comfort costs 13.995 euro or 13.035 euro with withdrawal and Ibiza SC 1.2 TDI CR Comfort E-Ecomotive costs 14.745 euro or 13.785 euro with withdrawal. The charge for the 5-door version is 400 euro. It is noted that the equipment of the Comfort version includes, including, ABS, 4 airbags, Climatic, electric windows, central locking, electric mirrors, cruise control, fog lights with cornering function, 15" wheels, CD MP3 radio with aux-in port and steering wheel controls. Respectively, Leon 1.6 ΤDI 105hp, with consumption also barely 3.8 lt/100km in the E-Ecomotive version, offered with 19.690 euro or 18.260 euro with withdrawal, in the Style version. Alongside, it is noted that SEAT diesel models normally participate in Technocar's promotional program that offers "free fuel for 10.000 km" to all new buyers, while all the above editions are not subject to road tax, since CO2 emissions are lower than 100 gr / km.

Seat Leon and Ibiza Diesel prices are reduced, while the models also benefit from the Free Fuel for 10.000 km.

The low consumption of Seat's diesel engines allows the Leon and Ibiza not to pay road tax.

Tiger Explorer comes to claim the top in the class, with high technology. This includes the ride by wire throttle, as well as the rear wheel traction control system. These two new electronic systems are applied for the first time by Triumph on a motorcycle. The Explorer is also equipped with ABS that can be disabled, but also cruise control.

As for the engine, this is of course a three-cylinder, with capacity 1.215 ml, strength 135 horsepower and torque 12,3 kgm. So suddenly, literally a few hours before the Government changed, the Ministry of the Environment passed with an amendment in the Parliament the liberalization of diesel traffic in Athens and Thessaloniki.

Positive though, but also with intense reflection, not particularly surprised- import companies and traders welcomed the liberalization of diesel traffic, mainly Athens and Thessaloniki. The meetings give and take from the morning to the staffs of the Greek companies creating the reaction plans to the new data that are now available in the market.

The truth is that importers are divided on the issue of diesel engines. On one side are the multinational companies, which usually have credit from the parent company and which celebrate this release. On the other side are the majority of Greek businessmen-importers, who pay almost cash for the cars they import and will be forced to dig deep into their pockets, if only they could find some euros to import some codes with diesel engines... At the same time there is concern about the stock of cars that they have already imported and paid for, a stock that no matter what we do has an expiration date, since no matter what we do, they are renewed.

Be that as it may, liberation had to happen, something everyone agrees on. But in no way was it done to help the Greek car market, something that is certain will not happen, since it is clear that today the last thing on the Greek's mind is replacing his car.

So the only thing that justice will achieve at this moment (let's emphasize it) release of the diesel engine is to turn some determined buyers to a diesel engine. By no means, Nevertheless, the market will not see a general increase in sales and at the same time the state's revenues will remain low, as it is today.

According to information, in the near future the Audi S4 and S5 will be available in Europe only with the 7-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission, while in America the manual option will remain.

The Audi, apparently, will continue to launch the S4 and S5 in the US. with 6-speed manual gearbox, but in Europe these models will only be available with the 7-speed S-tronic (DSG) box. Although the sources do not say exactly when the top-of-the-line Audis will stop being offered with a manual transmission in the Old Continent, the above news was also confirmed by the high-ranking executive of Audi America, Mr. Barry Hoch. Characteristically he said: "These (i.e. us…) they lose the automatic transmission. We (these, as known…) we keep it. Is 100% confirmed, although I don't know exactly what will happen in the rest of the markets".

Low rolling resistance tires or "green tires", as they have prevailed to be called, they have the property of not being so distorted, like a regular tire, due to the weight of the vehicle.
