The Higgs boson "runs" in the auditoriums of the Planetarium

Columbia University Physics Professor Michael Tuts speaks to the audience Thursday 27 April 2017 and time 19:30 at the Eugenides Foundation Amphitheater.
At the invitation of the Columbia University alumni association in Greece, professor Michael Tuts will give a single talk with a central axis three questions:
-Why are we interested in the Higgs boson?;
-How they discovered it 6.000 scientists at CERN;
-What is the next step;
Professor Michael Tuts' research focuses on High Energy Experimental Physics.
He headed the US research team that participates in the ATLAS experiment, one of the 4 main experiments implemented at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN.
In addition to theoretical research, Michael Tuts reaches out to the general public and explains abstract and difficult scientific concepts in an understandable way.
This will be followed by the screening of the digital show: "Phantom of the Universe" in the New Digital Planetarium. There will be two performances (by Dimitra Papanastassopoulou is published by Dioptra Publications 20:45 and 21:30).
From the 'speed race' of protons at the world's largest particle accelerator at CERN to the Big Bang and the 'emerging' Universe, but also the descent to’ a basement in South Dakota, almost 1.500 m below the Earth's surface, the show will introduce viewers to the multifaceted research on dark matter.
Entry to the event is free.

The Tesla pickup is coming

Kostas Fouzas (kf@newsauto.gr)

Via Twitter Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, brings back to the fore the company's plans for its first pick-up model. Creating playgrounds for use by children with mobility problems and ensuring their access to all municipal structures and schools, confirmed that the said project will come to fruition and thus the production model will be released in the 2019 in the American market initially (where this particular category of vehicles records high sales figures). On a technical level now, we expect a fully electric pick-up, with four-wheel drive, great horsepower (0-100 km/h σε 6 sec approx) and autonomy that will reach 500 km.
From the electronically edited spy photos that have been published on the internet from time to time, like the one we present to you, it looks like the production model will retain Tesla's design identity up front, it will have a double-cab body and a large cargo area. In fact, sources from Tesla claim that their model will not lag behind in anything compared to the traditional players in the category.
End, note that the first Tesla pick-up will have all the technological elements with which the company equips its models (among them an autonomous driving system).

This is how the trucks of the future will be!

DILIGENCE: KATIS MENU, RAFT: ARTEM SMIRNOV, VLADIMIR PANCHENKO
Motoring has already entered the era of autonomous driving with leading companies in the global automotive industry and not only working feverishly on perfecting the systems that will guarantee safe transportation.
Beyond sophisticated technologies, such as autonomous driving, which will allow the occupants of a vehicle to travel in their car enjoying the journey without having to keep their mind on the road, There are also tangible examples of the emergence of self-driving vehicles.
The futuristic image that most ex’ of these they adopt, it evokes vehicles that we've all seen at some point in sci-fi movies.
Daily use and sports vehicles, limousines and racing cars, that use artificial intelligence (AI) and which are shaped according to the wishes of their driver, have already been presented by companies that give us a first taste of how they envision the future of global motoring.
On this frame two designers, Artem Smirnov from Belarus and Vladimir Panchenko from Ukraine, envisioned, designed and present to us their own version of the trucks/trucks of the future.
Actually, the two types were envisioned on behalf of Audi, which does not have such vehicles in its product range.

AeroMobil flying car ready for orders

But whoever wants it, will have to pay 1,2 to 1,5 millions of euros, as revealed by the Slovak-based manufacturing company of the same name.
The first car plans are expected to be delivered to customers within it 2020.
The company – one of many preparing similar hybrid vehicles- plans to produce in the first phase up to 500 such flying vehicles, according to Reuters.
The two-seater AeroMobil, which has a teardrop shape and a hybrid engine, features both four wheels and two airplane wings, which fold, like an insect, on the sides of the vehicle in just three minutes. So, quickly converts from plane to car and vice versa.
Its radius of action on the road reaches the 100 kilometers and in the air the 750 kilometers, while its road speed also reaches the 100 kilometers.
But there are certain conditions to be the owner of such a medium. It should take off from an airport or other place with an airstrip (and not from the street outside his house, something that is illegal), while he should obviously have both a driver's and a pilot's license. Yet, the car-plane will be subject to the regulations governing both cars and airplanes (and will certainly be an ideal presumption of income for the tax authorities…).
For such vehicles to circulate, the fears of public authorities and public opinion on security issues should be allayed. The governments, which already have to regulate the use and operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) and driverless autonomous vehicles, now they will have an additional headache: the car shots.

Plug-in hybrid in development 3008

A hotter version of the new 3008 it has long been on Peugeot's table but only recently have the French decided to proceed with its implementation.

TEXT: IRINI MOUSTAKARIA

There are some misgivings on the French side about how to approach a new one, hotter, edition. Some talk about simply putting a GTI logo and others, like Laurent Blanchet, Peugeot Product Manager, for a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) with the extra addition of the letters GT.
A hybrid is a sports car, but the GTI logo is more suited to small hatchback cars. Right now one 3008 GTI is something that should not be done. Ant’ of this we could use the GT logo. The PHEV we are preparing will be available with a gasoline engine 1.6 THP that in combination with the electric motor will deliver 300 about horsepower. It will also have four-wheel drive while covering the 100 kilometers from a standstill in less than six seconds'.
Blanchet did not shy away from pointing out that this version is about two years away from today: The 3008 with this technology it will be ready 2019 and then we will develop a PHEV for our entire range'.

Apple and Bosch together for autonomous driving

Although Apple remains silent, its efforts to develop an autonomous vehicle continue.

Apple's plans for an autonomous vehicle may not be so ambitious, as it used to be, but the American company does not give up its efforts.
And while its administration keeps a fishy silence, as always, a few days ago it became known that’ this purpose now also cooperates with Bosch and more specifically with the Bosch Office in Reutlingen, Germany. These facilities house the electronics departments of the automotive industry. A Bosch representative confirmed the news.
Although we cannot know the extent of the cooperation, signs point in the direction of autonomous driving as the Bosch division in question develops electronic control units and a host of vehicle-mounted sensors.

Culturegraph: Mapping and combining art forms in the Hub

An original speciescultural eventspresented to multipurpose HUB (Gas pedal, Alcmenis 5) theSaturday, February 18.The first "trip" from a series of multi-thematic events called CULTUREGRAPH, a term that includes "mapping" but also the combination of the main art forms, it already has a common destination and is just getting started.
An interactive relationship between audience, artists but also of the very arts they represent is created under the organization of the polymorphic and cultural CULTUREGRAPHI event... where everyone becomes a part and experiences, at one's own will, the cultural events presented in a common space. It is sensitized, participates, he has fun and above all he is entertained…
The event of February 18 is structured as follows.
