Η τραγουδίστρια μίλησε για το θέμα στο πάρτι της καλής της φίλης Ελλης Κοκκίνου, όπου ήταν καλεσμένη: «Είναι κάτι που υπάρχει πολύ έντονα στο πίσω μέρος του μυαλού μου και το οποίο πραγματικά το ψάχνω. Emotion at the Grammys for Whitney Houston

Στα φετινά Grammys μπορεί η Whitney Houston να έλειπε, αλλά στην πραγματικότητα ήταν παντού! Στη μεγαλύτερη γιορτή της αμερικανικής μουσικής, το κλίμα ήταν βαρύ. Μόλις λίγες ώρες μετά τον ξαφνικό θάνατο μίας από της μεγαλύτερες φωνές του πλανήτη, κανένα από τα λαμπερά αστέρια του πενταγράμμου δεν είχε διάθεση να κάνει χαριτωμενιές στο κόκκινο χαλί.

«Χάσαμε την ηρωίδα μας. Δεν θα βρισκόμουν εδώ σήμερα αν δεν ήταν η Whitney», είπε η Kelly Rowland και συνέχισε: «Προσεύχομαι για τη μητέρα και την κόρη της. Αν εμείς είμαστε συντετριμμένοι γι’ αυτήν την απώλεια, μπορώ να φανταστώ πώς αισθάνονται εκείνες».

Η WhitneyHouston περίμενε πως και πως για να ανέβει και πάλι στη σκηνή των Grammys για μια ακόμα ξεχωριστή ερμηνεία. Δεν τα κατάφερε όμως. Το βάρος όμως των τραγουδιών της σήκωσαν στους ώμους τους η Jennifer Hudson που στο παρελθόν είχε τραγουδήσει μαζί της σ’ αυτή την ίδια σκηνή των Grammys και η Beyonce.

Και όλοι έμειναν σιωπηλοί και συγκινημένοι όταν η JenniferHudson βγήκε και τραγούδησε το θρυλικό πλέον «I will always love you»! Ήταν σαν να μην παίρνει κανείς ανάσα για να ξεσπάσουν όλοι σε ένα παρατεταμένο χειροκρότημα όταν στο τέλος η Jennifer αποχαιρέτησε το είδωλό της λέγοντας: «Σ’ αγαπώ Whitney»!

Εκεί και η Chaka Khan, για να τιμήσει μια παλιά φίλη, μια αγαπημένη καλλιτέχνιδα.

«Έχω μείνει άφωνη. Βρίσκομαι σε κατάσταση σοκ. Απλά προσεύχομαι για την οικογένειά της», είπε φανερά συγκινημένη.

Αυτά τα Grammys δεν ήταν η γιορτή που έχουμε συνηθίσει. Η ατμόσφαιρα βαριά και κανείς δε φαινόταν να θέλει να πει πολλά. Κανείς δε φαινόταν να έχει συνειδητοποιήσει τη μεγάλη απώλεια.

Μίλησαν τα τραγούδια της Whitney και γέμισαν την αίθουσα με εκπληκτικές μελωδίες και απέραντη αγάπη.

«Ελπίζω τώρα να βρήκες τη γαλήνη», έγραψε στο Twitter της η Kelly Osbourne, ευχή που μοιράστηκαν μαζί της σχεδόν όλοι οι παρευρισκόμενοι.
