The new Honda Civic

BMW at the Olympics

BMW scooters are lagging behind

The new Peugeot four-wheel drive vehicle

The French company has officially presented its new four-wheel drive leisure vehicle with the code 4008, which certainly has its own special identity.

The French model looks particularly elegant and sufficiently dynamic incorporating many elements, from Peugeot's new design identity. That's how he manages to gain attention. In terms of dimensions, the length of the new Peugeot 4008 reaches the 4,34 meters, the width the 1.768 μ. and its height 1,625 μ. In order not to overlap the two-wheeled crossover 3008, the 4008 it will be available in Europe only with four-wheel drive. The image in the spacious, practical and quality interior is pleasant, with the large screen on the center console and the smaller one on the instrument panel commanding attention. The new Peugeot 4008 it will be available on the market in the summer, but it is still unknown if it will be introduced in our country and everything will depend on the selling price that the dealership will secure.

On the road: With a French taste
Driving it 4008 1,8 HDi διαπιστώσαμε την ευρωστία του εξαιρετικού αυτού diesel σε όλη την κλίμακα των στροφών, όπως και την οικονομία καυσίμου που προσφέρει. Αυτό όμως που μας κέρδισε ήταν η συνολική οδηγική εικόνα του αυτοκινήτου χάρη στις επεμβάσεις των τεχνικών της Peugeot σε τιμόνι και αναρτήσεις. Έτσι το σύστημα διεύθυνσης εμφανίζεται πιο ακριβές και μεστό σε αίσθηση, τη στιγμή που οι πιο σφιχτές αναρτήσεις έχουν μειώσει αισθητά τις κλίσεις και τις περιττές κινήσεις του αμαξώματος. Η άνεση δεν έχει επηρεαστεί και έτσι το 4008 εμφανίζει υψηλή ποιότητα κύλισης συνδυασμένη με χαμηλά επίπεδα θορύβου. Η αυτόματη τετρακίνητη με ηλεκτρομαγνητικό συμπλέκτη δουλεύει άψογα και σε μια μικρή 4Χ4 πίστα διαπιστώσαμε πως το 4008 είναι ικανό για πολλά παραπάνω πράγματα από ότι θα ζητήσει το 99% των αγοραστών!

Kινητήρες: Mόνο diesel
Στην Ευρωπαϊκή αγορά το όχημα ελεύθερου χρόνου της Peugeot θα είναι διαθέσιμο μόνο με τετρακίνηση και κινητήρες πετρελαίου (1,6 HDi και 1,8 HDi). O πρώτος αποδίδει 115 ίππους με 270 Nm of torque (280 με οverboost) at 1.750-2.500 s.a.l., ενώ ο δεύτερος (της Mitsubishi) διαθέτει μεταβλητό χρονισμό και φτάνει να αποδίδει 150 ίππους με 300 Nm of torque in 2.000-3.000 rpm. Και οι δύο κινητήρες συνδυάζονται με κιβώτιο 6 σχέσεων και χάρη στο στάνταρ σύστημα Stop & Start επιτυγχάνουν χαμηλή κατανάλωση (4,9 lt./100 km. The 1,6 and 5,6 lt./100 km. The 1,8).

The Grand Prix of France returns

The return of the French Grand Prix to the calendar of the Formula 1 championship must be considered almost certain, as Bernie Ecclestone announced. The commercial director of the crown jewel of motorsport emphasized that the deal has been closed, while some details remain.

"The deal is closed. We have agreed the financial terms with the minister, David Dwight. Yet, we have some details to discuss, but there's no doubt we'll find it", were Ecclestone's words.

France has to host the Formula One 1 from 2009, while with this agreement the pilots will race at the Paul Ricard circuit for five years (2013, 2015,2017,2019 and 2021).

Helmet in the laundry

It may be that in most helmets the interior is anti-allergenic, antiperspirant and antibacterial, but this does not mean that we can neglect its cleaning.
So that we don't arrive, Well, to the point of… holding our breath every time we have to put it on our heads, we must take some time at regular intervals to wash the lining of our helmet. Provided, sure, that the inner lining of the helmet is removable (even the cheeks), the process is simple and won't take more than a few minutes.

First we carefully remove the lining from the helmet, after first observing how it is placed and re-fastened, so we can install it after we're done. Our cleaning supplies are few and easy to find. A basin with water and a neutral soap (a baby soap can prove perfect for the occasion) they are enough for us. Under no circumstances should we go into a sanitizing frenzy and use chemicals or alcohol, as this will destroy the investment. The first step is to put the liner in the basin of water and let it soak for a few minutes. Then, rub it gently with the soap (forget harsh scrubbing, boats etc.), with special care. After we clean it up, rinse it and leave it in the water for a few minutes.

The final act of… laundry is to wring it out carefully and then let it dry. Attention! The easy solutions of the hair dryer and the heater should be avoided, as high heat can damage the lining.

Πρεμιέρα για το VW E-Bugster Speedster Concept

Την Έκθεση του Πεκίνου επέλεξε η VW για να παρουσιάσει την ανοιχτή έκδοση του ηλεκτρικού E-Bugster Concept, το οποίο φωτογραφίζει ουσιαστικά την ανοιχτή έκδοση του σύγχρονου Σκαραβαίου.

Τον περασμένο Ιανουάριο, στη Διεθνή Έκθεση Αυτοκινήτου του Ντιτρόιτ, η VW παρουσίασε για πρώτη φορά το πρωτότυπο E-Bugster, μια ηλεκτρική παραλογή του νέου Beetle με ακόμα πιο… προχωρημένα σχεδιαστικά γνωρίσματα. Today, οι Γερμανοί προχωρούν ένα βήμα πιο μπροστά επιλέγοντας την Έκθεση του Πεκίνου ούτως ώστε να «αποκαλύψουν» την ανοιχτή εκδοχή του πρωτοτύπου. Με το γράμμα «Ε» να αντιπροσωπεύει τη λέξη «Electric» και τον τύπο της κινητήριας μονάδας και την «Bugster» να προέρχεται από τη σύντμηση των λέξεων «Bug», που στην αντίπερα όχθη του Ατλαντικού αποτελεί το παρατσούκλι του Beetle και «ster», πίσω από την οποία κρύβεται η λέξη «speedster», το ανοιχτό αυτό πρωτότυπο βασίζεται στο τελευταία γενιάς Beetle, με πιο… αθλητική και επιθετική όμως εξωτερική περιβολή, με τροχούς 20 inches, χαμηλότερο ύψος αμαξώματος από το έδαφος και διαφορετικούς σε σχεδίαση εμπρός και πίσω προφυλακτήρες. also, χαρακτηριστικό είναι το πάνελ που καλύπτει τις μπαταρίες, πίσω ακριβώς από την πλάτη των δύο επιβατών, όπως και το χαμηλότερο κατά 90 mm.  παρπρίζ. Σε ότι αφορά στις διαστάσεις του, η VW ανακοινώνει μήκος 4.278 μ. και πλάτος 1,838 m., τιμή μεγαλύτερη κατά 30 mm. σε σύγκριση με εκείνη του «κανονικού» Beetle.

Σε ότι αφορά την κινητήρια μονάδα του οχήματος, οι ιθύνοντες της VW έχουν επιλέξει να εγκαταστήσουν έναν εξελιγμένο ηλεκτροκινητήρα (μηδενικών ασφαλώς εκπομπών ρύπων), which yields 115 ίππους και συνδυάζεται με μπαταρίες ιόντων λιθίου που με τη σειρά τους εξασφαλίζουν μια ελάχιστη αυτονομία κίνησης της τάξης των 180 km. Σύμφωνα με τα επίσημα ανακοινωθέντα της γερμανικής εταιρείας, το ανοιχτό ηλεκτρικό πρωτότυπο είναι σε θέση να επιταχύνει από στάση έως τα πρώτα 100 km/h in 10,9 δλ. Σε ότι αφορά τη φόρτιση των συσσωρευτών με ενέργεια, η γερμανική εταιρεία ανακοινώνει πως χρειάζονται –όπως και στην περίπτωση του αντίστοιχου κλειστού- just 35 λεπτά για μια πλήρη φόρτιση, while, of course, η τροφοδότησή τους πραγματοποιείται και μέσω της πέδησης του οχήματος
