For his writing work, which is shared between a novel and an essay, and has an enthusiastic audience both in France and internationally, he will speak next Tuesday 27 November (time 19:00) at the House of Letters and Arts (Onassis Foundation, Eurydamantus and Galaxy 2, New World, tel. 2109249090), Pascal Bruckner.
Brückner became known in Greece with his widely read novel "The Black Moons of Love", which was brought to the big screen by Roman Polanski. This year, Pataki publications published his essay "Love marriage has failed;» translated by Sotis Triantafillou.

The Prius "repels" thieves

Δεν μπορούν να πουλήσουν τμήματα του αυτοκινήτου για ανταλλακτικά

Το υβριδικό Toyota Prius να και γνωστό για την οικονομία καυσίμου που προσφέρει, ο κάτοχός του πρέπει να συμβιβαστεί σε επίπεδο εμφάνισης αλλά και στον τομέα των επιδόσεων.

However, as it seems, το ιαπωνικό μοντέλο προσφέρει ένα πλεονέκτημα σε σχέση με τον ανταγωνισμό. Και αυτό είναι η αποτροπή της κλοπής του από επιτήδειους, η οποία μάλιστα δεν βασίζεται σε εξελιγμένα συστήματα ασφαλείας.

Κλοπές οχημάτων γίνονται με στόχο τμήματά τους να χρησιμοποιηθούν σαν ανταλλακτικά. Και εκεί βασίζεται το πλεονέκτημα του Prius.

Όπως αναφέρει το πρακτορείο Bloomberg, μόλις ένα στα 606 μοντέλα Prius από αυτά του ΄08 μέχρι του ’10, είχαν κλαπεί μέχρι το τέλος Ιουνίου, in the USA. Αντίθετα, οι ιδιοκτήτες ενός στα 78 από τα υπόλοιπα οχήματα, έπεσαν θύμα κλοπής!

«Είναι ένα μοναδικό [σσ. με την κυριολεκτική έννοια] αυτοκίνητο. Τα μέρη του δεν θα ταιριάξουν πουθενά άλλου εκτός από ένα Prius», εξηγεί ο John Abounader, διευθυντής της διεθνούς ένωσης ερευνητών κλοπής αυτοκινήτων (International Association of Auto Theft Investigators).

«Εάν χρησιμοποιείς ένα Camry [σσ. μοντέλο της Toyota με μεγάλες πωλήσεις στη Βόρεια Αμερική], η μηχανή του μπορεί να ταιριάξει σε κάποιο άλλο αυτοκίνητο. Σε ένα Prius, η μηχανή είναι τόσο διαφορετική επειδή είναι υβριδικό», συμπληρώνει.

Κατερίνα Λέχου: Μιλά για πρώτη φορά για το πρόβλημα υγείας της

Σε πρόσφατη συνέντευξή της, or Κατερίνα Λέχου μίλησε για το πολύ σοβαρό πρόβλημα υγείας που αντιμετώπισε στο παρελθόν και πώς το ξεπέρασε.

«Μου έτυχε ένα πολύ σοβαρό θέμα υγείας. Κάτι που με έκανε να χάσω τη γη κάτω από τα πόδια μου και να θέλω να χτυπάω το κεφάλι μου στον τοίχο. Τη στιγμή που πάσχεις, τα πράγματα είναι πολύ ζόρικα. Ευτυχώς κατάφερα να αντεπεξέλθω και να βγω νικήτρια. Όλα ξεκίνησαν όταν ήμουν 12 χρονών. Σε εκείνη την ηλικία είχα ήδη πάρει πολύ ύψος, ήμουν δηλαδή 1,80! Γρήγορα έπαθα σκολίωση, δεν έγινε σωστή αγωγή και μέσα σε σύντομο διάστημα η επιδείνωση, οσφυϊκή και θωρακική ήταν ραγδαία. Σε φοβερή κατάσταση χειρουργήθηκα στην Αγγλία, με πολλούς κινδύνους να ελλοχεύουν, καθώς στην σπονδυλική στήλη υπάρχουν πολλά νεύρα» παραδέχτηκε η επιτυχημένη ηθοποιός.

In fact, η Κατερίνα Λέχου αναφέρθηκε στην πολύωρη χειρουργική επέμβαση στην οποία αναγκάστηκε να υποβληθεί: «Ένα λαθάκι να γίνει στην 12ωρη εγχείρηση και έχεις χαθεί… Θυμάμαι πως δεν καταλάβαινα και πολλά. Πονούσα και έκλαιγα στην αγκαλιά της μητέρας μου, ενώ αναρωτιόμουν συνέχεια ”γιατί μανούλα σ’ εμένα, why;”. Εκείνη δεν ήξερε η καημένη τι να μου απαντήσει. Στο τέλος αγόρασε το βιβλίο ”Γιατί σ’ εμένα” και ξεκίνησε να μου το διαβάζει. Κάπου εκεί άρχισα να ηρεμώ. Η μαμά μου ερήμην της κατάφερε να μαλακώσει την ψυχή μου και τους πόνους μου. Στη συνέχεια για μία πενταετία φορούσα τον ‘κηδεμόνα’. Αρκετά χρόνια αργότερα, the 1998, χρειάστηκε να προχωρήσω σε δεύτερη εγχείρηση. Θυμάμαι τότε είχα πατήσει γκάζι για να τα βγάλω πέρα».
