THE Ford develops a new version of the familiar 1.000 cm EcoBoost engine, which will yield 150 horsepower and will be available in European production- cars.
The supercharged EcoBoost his Ford engine 1 l. presented to this day with two different renderings, 100 and 125 horses. Regarding consumption, in the edition with them 125 horsepower amounts to 5,0 lt./100 km. about (with CO2 emissions at 114 g/km), while in the milder version with them 100 horsepower consumption reaches 4,7 lt./100 km. (109 gr / km. CO2).
But Ford has announced that it is already in a state of development and testing of the new version of the EcoBoost, which yields 150 horsepower. Referentially, in an interview with the chief engineer of the EcoBoost development, Andrew Fraser, he said that this specific study will not be particularly easy in practice, to fit production cars. For now, testing has been done on Ford's 'Blue Oval' racing car, από όπου έχουν λάβει αρκετά θετικά αποτελέσματα, ενώ ζητήθηκε από την εταιρεία να κατασκευάσουν τους πρώτους 50 engines.
