"Feathers" made seven paintings by a billionaire from a Dutch museum

Among them works by Picasso, Matis, Monet and Gauguin

Seven paintings, among them works by Picasso, of Matisse, of Monet and Gauguin, were stolen on the night of Monday to Tuesday from the Kunsthalle Rotterdam, as the Dutch police announced today.

“This morning seven works of art were stolen from the Kunsthalle in Rotterdam. After the permission of the owners, police can now release photos of the works", the police said in a statement.

The burglary took place at approx 03:00 (04:00 Greece time), according to police.

"Police are interviewing potential witnesses and reviewing CCTV footage", the police statement adds, which points out that “according to the first evidence, it appears that the burglary was well prepared".

The works that belonged to the great Dutch collector and billionaire Willem Cordia, they were on loan to the museum for the anniversary 20 years of the Triton Institute. The billionaire's collection has been exhibited in the past, but it was the first time that all these works of supreme historical importance and great value had been exhibited together in an exhibition entitled “Avants Guardes: The collection of the Triton Foundation”.

According to information the robbers “they were waiting” these works quite some time, and the fact that they were all exposed together made the robbery very tempting.

The works are "Harlequin" by Pablo Picasso, "The Woman Reading in White and Yellow" by Henri Matisse, "Waterloo Bridge" and "Charing Cross Bridge" by Claude Monet, the "Woman in front of an open window, the fiancee' by Paul Gauguin, Meyer de Haan's 'Self-Portrait' and Lucian Freud's 'Woman with Closed Eyes'.

"An investigation has been launched and experts are on the scene", said Patricia Wessels, Dutch police spokesman. "We are looking at how (the perpetrators) managed to enter' the museum, Wessels pointed out, "what time and who committed this theft".

The fourth generation of Renault Clio

Its fourth generation was presented in beautiful Tuscany Renault Clio. Contrary to the practice of most competitors, the car grew in size, except for height, which decreased.

Alongside, got a new dynamic look at the hands of Van Den Acker, but this does not mean that certain concessions were not made, such as moderate rear visibility and a high boot threshold.

One of the elements that Renault executives wanted to change in the new Clio is its dynamic characteristics.

The steering finally feels right, and frame and suspension settings ensure high levels of grip. All this without losing comfort, which was one of the main advantages of the third generation as well.

Inside, the dashboard is modern, with the multimedia screen dominating high on the center console and the digital speedometer standing out in the center of the instrument panel.

A small complaint about the perceived quality of the materials, which are mostly made of hard plastics.

Beyond the various personalization possibilities in the choice of colors, appearance and equipment accessories, the fourth generation Clio stands out for its 900 3-cylinder turbo engine 90 horses, but also the 1,500 diesel with them as well 90.

Both are distinguished by their low emissions and smooth operation.

People have had enough of "Caviar"

Above 85.000 they saw the film by Yannis Smaragdis in four days

It is relatively difficult to talk about triumph, but everything shows that his last film Yannis Smaragdis "God Loves Caviar" has already touched the pulse of a very large part of the Greek cinema-going public. Possibly of course, to have also touched the pulse of an audience that needs a very good reason to go to the cinema where they otherwise don't usually go. Why indeed, regardless of its quality, the film dealing with the life and state of Ioannis Varvakis is a cinematic event for Greece.

According to the data provided to BIMA by the film's distribution company, Feelgood Entertainment, "Caviar" exceeded the 85,000 tickets during the last four days (it had opened in theaters last year, Thursday 11 October).

The number of tickets is indeed very large although we should remember that the film opened in 119 halls together with those located outside Athens but also in Cyprus. From the 85.000 tickets, Feelgood points out that the 50.000 approximately were cut in theaters in Athens.

According to the same company, the gross opening of "Caviar" is one of the best of the year, while on Saturday 13 October tickets doubled compared to Thursday and Friday and many theaters were turning people away.

Regarding the reception of the public, opinions as always in these movie cases, they are varied.  As we learned from the testimonies of viewers found at last weekend's screenings,  there were spectators who jeered during the screenings but also spectators who applauded standing up after the screening. This image was described to us by a spectator who watched "Caviar" at EMBASSI in Kolonaki Square.

However, it will be of great interest to see how the film moves in its second week of release because it will determine whether "God Loves Caviar" really has a rich future ahead of it or whether it will be a deflated balloon..

Thanasis Efthimiadis The ironic comments about Mega

Thanasis Efthymiadis was a guest on Eleni Menegaki's show on Monday. His conversation with the presenter of Alpha started from the show in which the actor stars, "Men Ready for Anything", and continued with the economic problems facing the country.

Then, the actor spoke about his own financial problem and the money he has never been paid by Mega for a serial he starred in. "The whole Mega can't tell you “i don't have money”. I don't have to pay my obligations to the state either. When they pick me up I'll tell them “call Mega's accounting department;”» the actor said, while then added: "Now they started giving money to my wife for "My name is Vangeli". I hope they continue. Nothing for me about the "Dolls" yet. Because sometimes I think of doing a fundraiser to collect money for the poor, those poor people at Mega. Let the state understand me as I understand Mega, the ATA studio in particular".
