Case : 15 years have passed since Selene and her beloved Michael won the battle against the Vampire Elder Marcus in UNDERWORLD EVOLUTION. Meanwhile, humanity having discovered the existence of Vampires and Lycans has launched a campaign of extermination of both species. Selene is captured during the genocide and wakes up after twelve years to find that she has been kept frozen in a seven-sealed laboratory, the Antigen, where experiments are being done on a vaccine against the viruses that created vampires and werewolves. Selene is initially shocked to learn that her beloved Michael has died, but she doesn't have much time left to mourn as a series of shocking challenges ensue. Among other things, she will find that her race is threatened and that the few survivors are hiding in the bowels of the earth. As for her traditional enemies, the Lycans, they've managed to genetically mutate into extra beastly versions of what we've known up until now.
