The nominations for the Oscars are announced today

The films that will claim a golden statuette on 26 February at the Kodak Theater are expected to be announced today, with stakes falling for 'The Artist' and 'Descendants' topping Golden Globes.

In fact, "The Artist" has not stopped collecting awards and nominations since then, at the British BAFTAs, the American Producers Guild and the London Critics Association.

George Clooney and Meryl Streep, also distinguished at the Golden Globes, are also considered "certain" for nominations.

Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" films are also expected to receive nominations, "War Horse" by Steven Spielberg, Tate Taylor's The Handmaids and Woody Allen's Midnight in Paris.

The awards will be presented on 26 February once again hosted by actor Billy Crystal.

Good Iver, Yoko Ono and Flaming Lips join forces

The project – collaboration of the year
Wayne Coyne of The Flaming Lips has revealed that they are working on an LP, for the creation of which he will collaborate with Bon Iver and Yoko Ono.

Besides these, on the album that will be released in April, artists such as Nick Cave will appear, η I$ha, Lykke Li and Erykah Badu.

Coyne confirmed that he has already finished recording with Cave and the Plastic Ono Band for this record, while Justin Vernon of Bon Iver has accepted to be part of the project and is expected to participate with two tracks.

Speaking of the rest of the artists who will collaborate, the Flaming Lips singer stated:

"Everything happened within two days. You think of these partnerships in your head and immediately start making them a reality. Sometimes it's enough to just get in touch".

Coyne spoke highly of Ke$ha, whom he hopes to convince to do a "weird rap" on the record, but describing her as "very strange".

Το 104 Κέντρο Λόγου και Τέχνης των εκδόσεων Καστανιώτη παρουσιάζει την παράσταση «Γιατί σκότωσα την καλύτερή μου φίλη» που βασίζεται στο ομώνυμο μυθιστόρημα της Αμάντας Μιχαλοπούλου.
Πρόκειται για την ιστορία της επεισοδιακής σχέσης δύο κοριτσιών, που συναντιούνται στα 9 τους χρόνια λίγο μετά την μεταπολίτευση.
Στα χρόνια που ακολουθούν, η Άννα κι η Μαρία μεγαλώνουν και διαμορφώνονται μέσα από σχέσεις, πρόσωπα, συμβάντα, πολιτικά ιδεώδη, κόσμους και θεωρίες
 
Η ασφυκτική τους σχέση διαπλέκεται με την έντονη πολιτική ζωή και διαγράφει ένα αλλόκοτο ταξίδι στο πρόσφατο παρελθόν της ελληνικής πραγματικότητας.

Οι πρώτες δηλώσεις της Ιωάννας Πηλιχού μετά τη νίκη

Η Ιωάννα Πηλιχού έπειτα από πολλές προπονήσεις και πρόβες, τελικά τα κατάφερε και βγήκε η νικήτρια του πρώτου «Dancing on ice». The actress, αμέσως μετά τη λήξη του show, μίλησε στην κάμερα της «Πρωινής Μελέτης» για τα συναισθήματά της, λέγοντας πως νιώθει και χαρούμενη και λυπημένη, αφού πλέον τελείωσαν.
«Ήταν τόσο ωραίο που ήταν όλα τα παιδιά εκεί. Ξαφνικά θυμηθήκαμε το πώς ξεκινήσαμε και ήταν μαγικό. Και συνειδητοποίησα ότι τελείωσε και είπα ότι δεν το πιστεύω αυτό το πράγμα. Δε γίνεται να συμβεί», δήλωσε η Ιωάννα και συνέχισε: «Δεν είχε σημασία ούτε το αποτέλεσμα, πραγματικά. Ήταν η τελευταία μας βραδιά και θέλαμε να την απολαύσουμε….».
Όσο για το αν η ίδια θα συνεχίσει να κάνει πατινάζ: «Σίγουρα θέλω. Ευτυχώς που είναι ο Παναγιώτης και η Μόνικα και θα κάνουμε μαθήματα. Θα πηγαίνουμε μαζί τους να μαθαίνουμε κι άλλα πράγματα», he replied.

Despina Vandi : How she unwittingly got involved in the loan sharking scandal

For a decade the loan shark gang operated in Thessaloniki and Halkidiki, lending at high interest rates, selling protection and extortion. Among her victims was Demis Nikolaides and -indirectly- his wife, Despina Vandi.
According to an extensive report by the "Espresso" newspaper, the gang from Thessaloniki set their sights on the couple's real estate and Despina Vandi's money.. From the telephone conversations of the perpetrators recorded by the police, it turns out that it was for a "new job" that the former football player had asked to do, loan sharks wanted to include the 42-year-old singer's property in the terms of the loan.
Demis Nikolaides allegedly asked the criminal organization for a new loan,without also establishing whether the transaction finally went through. What is worth noting is that the two moneylenders with whom the ex-footballer had been forced to deal proceeded to a new conversation in which the conditions for giving him the amount: “…I mean, if he has any "clean" property, anything. Ferrari FF με 80% χαμηλότερους ρύπους

Πρόκειται για μετατροπή σε μια Ferrari FF, η οποία πλέον με ένα απλό kit, καίει βιοαιθανόλη. Result: η ιπποδύναμη εκτοξεύτηκε προς τα επάνω, και οι ρύποι προς τα κάτω!
Η εντυπωσιακή πρώτη τετρακίνητη Ferrari στην ιστορία, γνωστή και ως FF, είναι το μοντέλο που επιλέχθηκε από εταιρεία μετατροπών στη Νορβηγία (μετά από μια Mercedes ML63 AMG που επίσης μετατράπηκε επιτυχώς), ως το επόμενο μοντέλο της που θα χρησιμοποιεί βιοαιθανόλη για την κίνηση του.
To αποτέλεσμα ήταν, πέραν του δέοντος ικανοποιητικό. Η ιπποδύναμη ανέβηκε στους 875 ίππους από τους «μόλις» 660 της κανονικής έκδοσης, και οι ρύποι του V12 κινητήρα των 6,3 λίτρων μειώθηκαν κατά 80%! Η επιτάχυνση για τα 0-100 χ.α.ω. επίσης βελτιώθηκε στα 3,5 δλ. from the 3,7 δλ. της κανονικής έκδοσης, και να σκεφτεί κανείς ότι το kit μετατροπής κοστίζει μόλις 1.500 euro!
