Το νέο Land Rover Defender θα κατασκευάζεται στην Ινδία

Μπορεί το Defender της Land Rover να είναι ένα από τα πιο αναγνωρίσιμα βρετανικά προϊόντα σε παγκόσμιο επίπεδο, όμως η νέα γενιά μπορεί να αλλάξει… ήπειρο κατασκευής!
Το εντυπωσιακό πρωτότυπο που παρουσιάστηκε στην έκθεση της Φρανκφούρτης το 2011 με τον κωδικό DC100 κυριολεκτικά έκλεψε την παράσταση αφού η βρετανική φίρμα δεν το κάνει πολύ συχνά. Αυτό που δεν είναι σίγουρο όμως, είναι πως όσο και αν μας εντυπωσίασε το DC100 ή αλλιώς το μοντέλο που θα αποτελέσει τη βάση εξέλιξης για το νέο Defender, δεν είναι σίγουρο το εάν θα συνεχίσει να κατασκευάζεται στη χώρα που το γέννησε πριν περίπου μισό αιώνα.
Η είδηση έρχεται από τη Μεγάλη Βρετανία, και θέλει το νέο τετρακίνητο μοντέλο να κατασκευάζεται στο Pune της Ινδίας, φυσικά για μείωση του κόστους. Υπάρχει η πιθανότητα, η τελική συναρμολόγηση των μοντέλων που θα εισάγονται στην Ευρώπη να γίνεται στη Μεγάλη Βρετανία, όμως τίποτε δεν είναι σίγουρο ακόμη. End, η έκδοση παραγωγής του μοντέλου, θα κάνει χρήση μιας έντονα διαφοροποιημένης έκδοσης του αμαξώματος των LR4 (Discovery), και Range Rover Sport, ενώ φυσικά η εμφάνιση θα είναι εμπνευσμένη από το DC100.

of the city: the electric vehicle that… folds

It's called Hiriko EV and it was presented in Brussels. It is a purely electric vehicle, but it has a peculiarity in its body, since this folds in the parking lot!
Surely the news of yet another electric vehicle no longer excites us, since they are increasing at a rapid rate. But when it comes to a build like the Hiriko EV things are somewhat different. Why; Simply because its designers have evolved it so that it "pulls itself together" when its driver wants to park it, as a result, it takes up significantly less space, from its already small size. In fact, its manufacturer states that when it is folded, the space it needs to park, are the 2/3 from its smart counterpart! Only two passengers have access to the vehicle through the single front-mounted door, while inside Hiriko there is not the classic steering wheel we know but a joystick.

Many details have not been announced, but however unreal it may seem, its production will begin within it 2013 in Spain, with 20 test copies have already been made. The initial construction cost of each is the 16.253 dollars, however, this is not an indicative purchase price of the production model.

Alkinoos Ioannidis returns to live appearances

THEAlkinoos Ioannidis begins at 3 February a small series of six concerts with new sound, orchestral and visual approach, In "Theater", of the Culture Center “Greek world”.

The singer returns to live appearances After the release of the double Live CD entitled “Glass” and of the collection “Harvest”, containing all of his personal disks from the 1997 up to the present day, together with prints of works from their covers.
In this new program he presents songs from his personal discography as well as choices by songs by other creators, enough of them for the first time.

Global SOS for monuments

IN A’ ATHENS CEMETERY
The Cemetery is on the list of monuments at risk for the 2012, as it faces huge problems, even statics for some of his tombstones.
The homeland sleeps deeper than "Sleeping" by Giannoulis Halepas when it comes to its monuments. Not the ancient or Byzantine ones. Not even the abandoned ones. The A’ Cemetery of Athens is one of the most important "living" monuments of the country. However, is on the list of monuments in danger for the 2012.
The list is drawn up by the World Monuments Fund and the Cemetery was found there as it faces huge problems, even statically, for some of his tombstones. The application-proposal for inclusion was made by the Municipality of Athens itself, in order to garner both the spotlight and help.
As stated in the relevant text on the organization's website, the A’ Cemetery is the oldest in the capital. It was created 1830, shortly after the establishment of the new Greek state.
There rest many men and women who brightened our public life: politicians, heroes of the Revolution, artists etc. The old man of Moria is buried there, Melina Mercouri and Jules Dassin, George Seferis, Costas Varnalis, Manos Katrakis, Tasos Livaditis, Elli Lampeti and many more people from those who glorified the name of Greece.
Among his tombstones there are many important examples of neoclassicism from the 19th as well as the 20th century: huts and temples built on tombs as well as tombstones and other structures.
Many of them present enormous problems today, even static and must urgently receive first aid.
Also the surface of the marble architectural members and sculptures shows massive corrosion – the best-known statue that has been in danger for decades is the beautiful "Sleeping" of Halepa. As time passes, without measures being taken, these problems grow. Until at some point they will be impossible to deal with.
Greece's poor financial situation is currently a reality. But also before, σε καιρούς που τα οικονομικά του κράτους ήταν καλύτερα, κανείς δεν έδειξε να ενδιαφέρεται για το σημαντικό αυτό μνημείο.
Κανείς δεν πήρε μέτρα που να ενθαρρύνουν τη συντήρηση των γλυπτών θησαυρών οι οποίοι υπάρχουν εκεί. Ακόμα και νομικά προβλήματα -αφού τα μνημεία έχουν κατόχους οι οποίοι μερικές φορές δεν συναινούν σε απομάκρυνση ή επιδιόρθωσή τους- αποτελούν ανασταλτικό παράγοντα. Η βασική αιτία, Nevertheless, είναι η απουσία κάθε βούλησης από την πλευρά της πολιτείας.

Εφεσος και Αγία Σοφία
Τα μνημεία που περιλαμβάνονται στον κατάλογο του Οργανισμού για το 2012 είναι πολλά – από τη χώρα μας μονάχα αυτό. Από τη γειτονική μας Τουρκία η Αφροδισιάς είναι μια αρχαία πόλη που συχνά μπαίνει σε αυτόν τον κατάλογο όπως και η Εφεσος (η δεύτερη λόγω μεγάλης επισκεψιμότητας, χωρίς παράλληλη λήψη μέτρων).
also, για αρκετά χρόνια ήταν η Αγία Σοφία μέχρις ότου αποκαταστάθηκαν ανοίγματα στη στέγη της και σταμάτησαν να μπαίνουν τα νερά της βροχής, τα οποία έφθειραν τα περίφημα βυζαντινά ψηφιδωτά που βρίσκονται κάτω από τις ασβεστωμένες επιφάνειες των τοίχων.
Η ένταξη στον κατάλογο αποτελεί ένα βήμα προς τη λήψη κάποιων μέτρων με τη βοήθεια, ακόμα και με χρηματοδοτήσεις, του Παγκόσμιου Ταμείου. Ομως οι χρηματοδοτήσεις δεν είναι τόσο υψηλές ώστε να μπορούν να λύσουν το πρόβλημα. For’ αυτόν τον λόγο απαιτούνται πρόσθετα και πολλά μέτρα. Ας ελπίσουμε η πατρίδα να ξυπνήσει εγκαίρως.

    Από την Κύπρο στον κατάλογο του Οργανισμού για το 2012 έχει ενταχθεί η μεσαιωνική πόλη της Αμμοχώστου.

Alkistis Protopsalti and Evanthia Reboutsika at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall

Alkistis Protopsalti and Evanthia Reboutsika travel their music and songs in Thessaloniki, at the Concert Hall, at 10 and 11 February.
They will present songs flooded with the light of Greece, with sounds that smell of the East but also wink at the West, a program that stirs with its passion and power filling our hearts with tenderness and sensitivity.
“Spice, cinnamon and celebration",  the title of the show, inspired by a song by the Citizen Kitchen to "exorcise" evil, still in a festive mood and many emotions!
Alkistis Protopsalti reports characteristics: "Evanthia's music transports you to something very familiar, in smells and perfumes, to something very familiar, like Sunday afternoon at mom's house where everything is musky. The way she plays her lovely violin encapsulates melancholy and joy in equal measure, it hits you right in the heart".
Evanthia Reboutsika adds: "Where I was looking to find the nightingale of the East outside of Greece, I found it in front of me chirping. I was moved by the colors and aromas of her voice and it inspired me to record new songs but also to unite musically on stage".
One voice, a violin and a special orchestra that emits fire, with each musician playing 2-3 instruments… canon, accordion, trumpet, cello, lute, metallophone, piano, kahon, upright bass, astride, crust, tambourines, guitar, mandolin.
Alkistis Protopsalti and Evanthia Reboutsika will fill our hearts, they will embrace our dreams and take us on a musical journey to Greece, Istanbul, Egypt, the Balkans, in a program that the public of Athens adored!
