The process of removing FM broadcasting stations started in 2015. From Wednesday morning all state-owned national radio stations began broadcasting exclusively via the DAB digital broadcasting system (Digital Audio Broadcasting). The world's first DAB radio station started broadcasting from Norway on 1995.
