The first official photos of the new Cherokee, Jeep announced, confirming all information, who were talking about a brand new model.
The time has come for Jeep to replace the Cherokee as well, for the first time in history to give it a less "hardcore" and off road character. The reason has of course to do with the general effort to reduce the model's fuel consumption and emissions and so on, we will see a new and more "asphalt" platform, but also a new and lighter four-wheel drive system, which will match the new platform. “In the beginning the” the fresh and completely differentiated, in relation to the past, display of the model. Jeep - at a time when it is conducting its final safety checks- released the first official images of the Cherokee, which will premiere at the New York Auto Show, before launching, at the end of the year, in the world market.

So we distinguish the long narrow front lights of small dimensions, that frame Jeep's accented grille with the 7 vertical lines, while the bumper has large intakes in its lower part and an aluminum apron.

Certainly, with this new platform the Cherokee will gain weight and be lighter than before, while gaining in consumption and emissions.

Jeep did not provide information on the engine units that will power the new Cherokee. According to information it is possible to see one “small” gasoline engine (1.8 liters from Alfa Romeo) for Europe, as well as diesel engines 2 and 3 liter, while for the American market a 2.4-TigerShark and a V6 are planned 3.2 liter.
