Mina Orfanou: I never got to the point of doing sidewalk

Η λέξη «αγόρι» δεν υπάρχει γι’ αυτήν, έχει θάψει το παρελθόν και όλα τα παιδικά βιώματα που την πλήγωσαν στα «έγκατα της γης».

Απλά άκουσε το βαθύτερο εαυτό της και αναγνώρισε αυτό που πάντα ήταν. Η εγχείριση αλλαγής φύλου ήταν μια απόφαση που πήρε χωρίς σκέψη.

Η Μίνα Ορφανού είναι μια καλλιτέχνης με πολλά ταλέντα. Εκτός από την υποκριτική, ένας άλλος αγαπημένος τρόπος έκφρασης γι’ αυτήν είναι η ζωγραφική. Πήρε το ρίσκο, έφυγε από το νησί της σε πολύ μικρή ηλικία και κυνήγησε τα όνειρά της και τη ζωή που ονειρευόταν. Μπορεί να είναι περήφανη ότι πέτυχε τους στόχους της διατηρώντας την αξιοπρέπειά της.

Ο Πάνος Κούτρας την επέλεξε για την ταινία «Στρέλλα» για την οποία απέσπασε βραβείο για την ερμηνεία της, ενώ φέτος τη βλέπουμε σε ένα διαφορετικό ρόλο στους «Βασιλιάδες».

Είναι καλλιεργημένη, ξέρει να μιλήσει και ξεφεύγει από το στερεότυπο που ορίζει ότι τρανσέξουαλ σημαίνει πεζοδρόμιο και ναρκωτικά. Κατάφερε να ξεφύγει από την παγίδα της υποτίμησης και να μη χαθεί…

Την ποιότητα και τις αξίες που έχει σαν άνθρωπος τις οφείλει στην οικογένειά της και στον τρόπο που μεγάλωσε.

Στην εξομολογητική συνέντευξη που έδωσε στο περιοδικό «Life&Style» είπε την άποψή της για την πορνεία και ικανοποίησε την περιέργεια όσων αναρωτιούνται αν έχει κάνει ποτέ πεζοδρόμιο.

«Η πορνεία για σας είναι κάτι αποδεκτό;»
«Ο Χριστός προσέγγισε πρώτα την πόρνη. Ο κόσμος την προσέγγισε με λιθοβολισμό. Βγάζω το καπέλο σε όσους κάνουν αυτή τη δουλειά, γιατί θέλει κότσια. Μια μαμά μπορεί να εκπορνεύεται για να σώσει το παιδί της. Most, είναι και θέμα επιβίωσης. Εκείνη την ώρα, οι γυναίκες αυτές δεν σκοτώνουν. Ούτε πουλάνε την ψυχή τους. Γιατί αν την πούλαγαν δεν θα μπορούσαν να πάνε με δεύτερο πελάτη. Δανείζουν το σώμα τους για πέντε λεπτά. Κατακρίνω μόνο τις δουλειές που προκαλούν θάνατο στους άλλους, όπως να είσαι έμπορος ναρκωτικών ή να εμπορεύεσαι σώματα για την πορνεία».

«Εσείς έχετε κάνει ποτέ πεζοδρόμιο;»
"No. Δεν έφτασα ποτέ σε αυτό το σημείο».

«Θα μπορούσατε αν έρχονταν τα δύσκολα;»
«Αν έρθουν τα δύσκολα, έχεις και άλλες δουλειές να κάνεις. Αυτό είναι η εύκολη λύση. Καθαρά λεφτά. Μια γυναίκα που εκπορνεύεται, μπορεί να βγάλει την ημέρα τα ίδια χρήματα που βγάζει κάποιος σε ένα μήνα. Το χρήμα είναι γλυκό για κάποιους».

«Θεωρείτε ότι δεν ανήκετε σε αυτόν τον κόσμο;»
«Ο καθένας μας ανήκει σε έναν άλλο κόσμο. Εμένα τα χέρια μου πιάνουν. Αν δεν βγάλω από την υποκριτική, θα βγάλω από τη ζωγραφική μου και τις χειροτεχνίες. Αν δεν βγάλω ούτε από αυτά, θα βάλω ράσα και θα πάω να ζήσω μαζί με τη θεία, η οποία είναι καλόγρια. Θα τρώω και τα φρέσκα μου τα αβγουλάκια, θα πίνω και το φρέσκο μου το γάλα!».

«Σε κοιτούν διαφορετικά στο δρόμο;»
«Δεν νομίζω πως φαίνομαι τι είμαι και σίγουρα, όταν βγαίνω από το σπίτι δεν φοράω ταμπέλα που γράφει ”γειά σας, είμαι τρανσέξουαλ”. Αισθάνομαι όμως, ότι ο κόσμος περιμένει να του πω πράγματα τα οποία δεν έχω κάνει στη ζωή μου».

«Αυτή η ταμπέλα πάντως, σας έβαλε στο χώρο και σας πρόσφερε δημοσιότητα…»
"No. Την τράβηξα από πάνω μου και την πέταξα. Αποφάσισα να δηλώσω, για τελευταία φορά, ότι είμαι τρανσέξουαλ. Ήρθε η ώρα, at last, να θάψω στον πυρήνα της γης όλα αυτά που έχουν πει για μένα. Δεν θα ξαναδώσω άλλη συνέντευξη για να μιλήσω για το παρελθόν μου. Δεν γεννήθηκα για να δίνω συνεντεύξεις».

Autonomous vehicle gets... license!

The now well-known autonomous vehicle used by Google to develop said technology, no it just got the green light, but also a driver's license from the state of Nevada!
For a few years now it has been known that Google is preparing technology that will simply enable a car to move without the necessary involvement of the driver, as required today.

Google's efforts are taking place in a Toyota Prius that has covered over a million kilometers, in various lengths and breadths of the earth, without causing a single accident! These efforts seem to have come to fruition, since the US state of Nevada, is now the first to give official permission, or otherwise our familiar "driver's license" in said car, which will now be able to move in the area without restrictions, and of course always with the presence of a driver!

"Trovatore" at the Herodeion and dance evenings in the shadow of the Acropolis include the summer program of the National Opera

Despite the difficult financial conditions, the "National Opera" is intensifying its outgoing course this summer. In the difficult economic situation, the only opera theater of our country responds with 45 performances - from small productions to operas at Herodeion- within a period of three months (May, June, July). Lyrika's summer program "is designed around four main axes: the new opera productions, ballet productions, educational programs and actions outside Athens", emphasized yesterday during his presentation the artistic director of ELS, Myron Michaelidis.

Two evenings of dancing follow in the Roman Agora where, in the shadow of the Acropolis, the ELLS ballet will perform two choreographies by Renato Zanella on top of two of the most beautiful piano concertos ever written. This is the piano concerto no. 23 by Mozart and the "Imperial" piano concerto no. 5 of Beethoven (30/6 and /7).

The new choreographers of the ELS Ballet will present their choreographies at the "Olympia" theater (14 and 15/7). «Σημαντική μας προτεραιότητα» αποτελεί η εκπαίδευση, υπογράμμισε ο κ. Michailidis, πριν αναφερθεί στην πρώτη φάση του νέου εκπαιδευτικού προγράμματος «Η όπερα διαδραστικά στα Δημοτικά Σχολεία», κατά το οποίο οι μαθητές θα παρακολουθήσουν τον «Κουρέα της Σεβίλης» του Ροσίνι (έως το τέλος του 2013 η παραγωγή θα επισκεφθεί 70 σχολεία σε όλη την Ελλάδα). A new and very important collaboration begins with the National Library, in view of the future co-housing at the "Stavros Niarchos" Foundation Cultural Center. It opens with the performance "Bohemian" by Valitsa Opera (27/5).

Lyriki aims to carry out actions in places outside of Athens. Η πρώτη μεγάλη φετινή της συνεργασία έχει ως στόχο την ανάδειξη αρχαίων θεάτρων σε ολόκληρη την Ελλάδα και είναι με το σωματείο «Διάζωμα». Θα παρουσιάσει θεάματα σε θέατρα που έχουν αποκατασταθεί, αρχής γενομένης με την «Μποέμ» του Πουτσίνι στο Αρχαίο Θέατρο της Μεσσήνης (6, 7/7) και στο Αρχαίο Θέατρο των Οινιάδων (13/7). Το Μπαλέτο θα παρουσιάσει αποσπάσματα από τις φετινές του παραγωγές, , στο Φεστιβάλ του Αιγαίου (19, 20, 22/7).
