The archaeological control carried out by the Ephorate of Underground Antiquities and the Hellenic Center for Marine Research was carried out throughout the pipeline within the Greek continental shelf, covering an area of approximately 200 T. km. and up to maximum depth 1400 μ. and up to the limits of the Greek exclusive economic zone with Italy. Three wrecks were found, which are the deepest localized ancient wrecks of the Mediterranean to date. The first named 'Poseidon 1' and found in depth 1.180 μ.
