PREMIERE: PROMETHEUS (PROMETHEUS)

Case : Ridley Scott, the director of the films “Alien” and “Blade Runner”, returns to the genre he established. With "Prometheus" he creates a groundbreaking mythology, in which a group of explorers discovers evidence of the origin of the human species on Earth. Festival KETHEA STROFI : Five concerts in one day!

On Thursday 7 June 2012 in the "Technopolis" of the Municipality of Athens, KETHEA STROFI hits the gas with Phoivos Delivorias, Natassa Bofiliou, Stathis Drogosis, Marietta Fafoutis, Matoula Zamani and the Angry Birds.

They will be joined by Tareq in a live dj set, while at the beginning of the celebration the band STROFIS will perform.

Peggy Zina : The last meeting with Dimitris Mitropanos

He spoke about the unexpected loss of Dimitris Mitropanos, including, in an interview with "Down Town" of Cyprus and the journalist Giannis Hatzigeorgiou Peggy Zina.

"It simply came to our notice then. And I'm sure I will never get over it. Never! This, Nevertheless, that I experienced when Dimitris left for his last trip, I can say it was their worst night 16 years of singing ".

He even described their last meeting: "We celebrated Easter together. We were together Sunday, on Monday I traveled to Cyprus and on Tuesday morning I was notified of the incident. In this last meeting we remember that we were too many people gathered, in his very welcoming and open house, at a huge table with lots of food, in which we laughed and he made jokes with my daughter. And as soon as she moaned a little, he told her “What do you want, my lady; You want something, my lady;” (is excited). We hugged and returned home, to wake up early the next day and travel to Cyprus ".

The new Peugeot 301

A new 4-door small and medium model was recently presented by Peugeot. It is about creating the classic recipe of a practical sedan, which has a global character, also introducing the number "1" as an ending to the name of a Peugeot model.
 Initially it 301 it will be available in neighboring Turkey and then it will also come to the markets of Greece, of Russia, of Ukraine, of Africa, of the Middle East and in several Latin American countries.
The 301 looks stylish and modern, borrowing design elements from the new 208 and 508, presenting a balanced length silhouette 4,44 meters. Its wheelbase 301 is 2,65 meters and the luggage space is impressive 506 liter. In terms of engines, initially the new 3-cylinder petrol engine will stand at the base 1,2 liters with performance 71 horses. Next is the petrol engine 1,6 liters with 115 horsepower, which is flanked by the diesel engine 1,6 liter HDi with performance 92 horses.
The 301 it will be produced at the Peugeot plant located in Vigo, Spain and will be officially presented in Paris next fall.

Athens Festival 2012: Ali and Hedi Thabet – Rayahzone in Piraeus 260

Brothers Ali and Hedi Thabet invite us on a political journey into the world of desires and the Holy, with the show "Rayahzone”,which will be presented in Piraeus 260 (THE), at 14, 15 and 16 June, in the context of the Athens Festival.

Ali and Hedi Thabet were born in Belgium, from a Tunisian father and a Belgian mother. From a young age they were involved in the circus and soon dance was added to their interests, the theater, writing and photography. Even when Hedy Tabet was hit with age 18 years of bone cancer and two years later he lost his leg, his love for the stage remained years later, created together with his brother the show we will enjoy.

“Rayahzone” is a journey (Rayah in Arabic), where we are invited to participate in order to disturb our arcane and tormenting inner anxieties in order to seek balance. On this trip, the bodies, the voice and percussion are the protagonists.

For the performance, the two brothers collaborated with the dancer Nicolas Vladyslav and the musicologist Sofyann Ben Youssef who, with five Sufi musicians, gave the music a leading role, thus making an indirect political statement, as Sufi music in Tunisia was banned at various times in history. In the show, the music does not complement the steps and movements of the dancers, but it is done – with her breath and voice as tools – vehicle that leads viewers to the Divine. As God created man by breathing into him his Spirit, man breathes out the voice of God and touches the Divine, through the song.

Finally the "Rayahzone", that we will watch at this year's Athens Festival is not just an absolutely perfect artistic performance but a journey of self-awareness. And the purpose of the Thabet brothers is to bring into confrontation and to transcend in space and time the three different dimensions of existence: the death, reason and madness, which are personified on stage by the three dancers and to connect their viewers with the little god that we all hide inside.
