The writer's funeral took place from the Papagou Cemetery

Under the cypress trees of the Papagou Cemetery rests the body of Pavlos Matesi.
The funeral service was sung on Tuesday at noon in the church of Evangelistria of Papagos in the presence of his relatives and numerous writers and theater people.
Dimitris Posantzis said goodbye to the deceased on behalf of Kastaniotis publications: "We are your debtors, those of us who were lucky enough to know you well. We will always remember you as an intellectual dedicated to the high art of speech and the value of literature, as a teacher who taught dignity and deep humanity."
His body was followed by Spyros Evangeliatos, Kostas Murselas, Giorgos Dialegmenos, Thanasis Kastaniotis, Eva Karaitidis, Thanasis Niarchos, Zyranna Zateli, Eugenia and Michalis Fakinos, Lakis Papadopoulos, Grigoris Psarianos, Mimis Androulakis, Telemachus Chytiris, Nikos Sifunakis et al

Honda CB1100: Finally in Greece

Το πιο εντυπωσιακό, από πλευράς χαρακτηριστικών τουλάχιστον, modern classic βρίσκεται πλέον στη χώρα μας. Ο λόγος φυσικά για το CB 1100 που θα είναι διαθέσιμο μόνο σε έκδοση με ABS.
Η σκέψη και μόνο ότι ένα 4κύλινδρο αερελαιόψυκτο μοντέλο θα περνούσε στην παραγωγή είχε προκαλέσει μια ευχάριστη αναστάτωση στους φίλους των ρετρό μοτοσικλετών και όχι μόνο. Πρώτη φορά που το είδαμε «ζωντανό» το CB1100 ήταν το 2007 και μετά από τρία χρόνια το είδαμε και στην παραγωγή. Η τεχνολογία που έχει χρησιμοποιηθεί στον εν σειρά 4κύλινδρο είναι πολύ υψηλότερα από όσο αφήνει να εννοηθεί ο κλασικός κινητήρας.

Μπορεί να χρησιμοποιεί ψύκτρες (νέας σχεδίασης που διαφέρουν σημαντικά σε σχέση με ό,τι ξέραμε στο παρελθόν), για να κρατήσει τη θερμοκρασία του σε φυσιολογικά επίπεδα, ωστόσο ο εν σειρά 4κύλινδρος δε στερείται τεχνολογιών και καταφέρνει να προσπελάσει το εμπόδιο των προδιαγραφών εκπομπής καυσαερίων με ευκολία. It pays off 89 horses at 7.500 rpm. με την ροπή να αγγίζει τα 9,4 kgm στις 5.000 rpm. τροφοδοτείται από ένα σώμα ψεκασμού και φέρει δύο εκκεντροφόρους επί κεφαλής. Με λίγα λόγια είναι το ισχυρότερο modern classic που υπάρχει αυτή τη στιγμή στη αγορά. ¶λλα στοιχεία που χαρακτηρίζουν τη μοτοσικλέτα της Honda είναι η προσοχή στη λεπτομέρεια και φυσικά ο νοσταλγικός της χαρακτήρας, εμφανής από όποια μεριά και αν την κοιτάξεις. Τέλος να πούμε ότι το CB1100 θα είναι διαθέσιμο σε μία μόνο έκδοση με το σύστημα ABS στον στάνταρ εξοπλισμό.

The radiance of Apollo in ancient Corinth

Inauguration of the electric lighting of the monument on Saturday 26 January

The temple of Apollo in ancient Corinth is now illuminated and shining in the night after the completion of the project of electrification, the inauguration of which will take place on Saturday 26 January on 7 at night. The 17th Ephorate of Antiquities, which prepared the study in the summer of 2012 in collaboration with the architectural lighting company Diathlasis SA., to be subsequently approved unanimously by the Central Archaeological Council.
The projection of the monument and not the imposition of lighting on it was the basic principle of the study, but also the adaptation of the intensities both to itself and to its immediate environment, the performance of the shadings and the highlighting of the building material of its construction which was the porolit. Of course, the energy saving and the reversibility of the operation were taken into account in case it is decided to restore the temple, while an attempt was made to avoid light pollution.
The execution of the project is due to the engineer – engineer Mr. Georgios Veronikis in collaboration with the Smart Electric company, while it should be noted that it could not have been implemented without the cultural sponsorship of Club Hotel Casino Loutraki S.A., which was made following a relevant request from the ΓΖ΄ EPKA.
The temple of Apollo (550 – 540 e.g.) is an important monument, which marks the beginnings of the application of the Doric style in ancient architecture while reflecting the economic strength and commercial power of the city of Corinth in archaic times, when the city emerged as a leading power of the Greek world by establishing strong colonies.
But after the destruction of the city, the 146 B.C. and its re-establishment now as a colony of the family of the Roman emperor Octavian Augustus, the temple was remodeled, possibly to house the imperial cult. Its ruins have been visible for centuries but actually its first excavation took place in 1886 by the German archaeologist Wilhelm Derpfeld. Today, in addition to the foundation of the monument, seven columns of the western part of the occasion stand in place, as well as the southwest corner of the archway.

Mini Paceman JCW

One of the interesting premieres in Detroit was that of Mini, which a few months after the presentation of the Paceman, brought his top edition to the fore, signed by John Cooper Works.
