Eleni Menegaki :Will add new “member” in her family!

In the "Helen" show, they made a live connection with a veterinarian about the first steps one should take when getting a puppy.
Eleni Menegaki carefully listened to the vet's advice and kept asking her about what a family should do when they welcome a small dog into their home.
The 42-year-old presenter, who a few days ago had declared that he was thinking of adopting “a huge dog”, revealed that the time has come for her to give her children a puppy because, as she herself said, "my ears have been tingling for so long!”.
“I have played so many roles! I've played it on mute, cute, I'm playing dumb, I have said that "now we are going on vacation.", let's get on a schedule”, "now I can't be away from home"… I have no other inspiration!», reported, while adding that he has no other choice, as he has "heard the bell" for the purchase of a puppy!

In September the premiere for the new VW Golf!

According to all indications, at the Paris International Motor Show next September, VW is expected to officially present the seventh consecutive generation of the popular Golf.

Undoubtedly, the Golf is a model that marked the modern history of the automotive industry, recording excellent sales figures all over Europe. The 2012 is another very important milestone in its many years of history (SS.: we remind you that the first generation model was presented in 1974), as its seventh consecutive generation will be officially presented at the upcoming Paris Motor Show. But what's different?, in relation to the sixth, it is expected to bring with it the new Golf;

By design, despite the fact that the German small-medium hatch is expected to retain close ties to the past, its overall silhouette is expected to be more sporty and dynamic in character, thanks to its specific characteristics, which have already been curated by VW stylists led by Walter de Silva, as is the stronger inclination of the windshield, the narrowest mask, the smaller-sized LED technology lighting bodies at the front and the more curved configuration of the roof. From now on, inside the Mk7 VW Golf the changes are expected to be equally extensive, with the cabin having a driver-centric approach, the dashboard new aesthetics, but even better, in quality and touch, materials. Structurally, the new VW Golf will "step", as well as the new Audi A3 sibling, which will make its official debut in March at the Geneva Motor Show, on the new flexible and… versatile in terms of the dimensions of the platform of the German group (see MQB, i.e. Modularer Querbaukasten in German and Modular Transverse Matrix in English). It is worth taking the opportunity to note that it is expected to "build" more than 3 million cars within the VW group and by extension many of the upcoming new Audi models (new A3 and TT), Skoda (new Octavia) and Seat (new Leon).

In the field of mechanical parts, VW executives are expected to follow the beaten track by placing under the hood of the car the well-known petrol and diesel engines of the TSI and TDI families, which will have a capacity of 1,2 until 2,0 liters and power up to 300 horsepower. It is also very likely that we will see 3-cylinder units under the hood of the new Golf (with turbo of course), while certainly in the near future it is expected, beyond the GTi version, and a plug-in hybrid. The familiar DSG gearboxes, either with 6 either with 7 relationships, they are considered out-of-the-box options anymore, combined with the well-known manual 6-speed gearbox of the group.

According to the information so far, the new Skoda Octavia is expected to be presented for the first time in the French capital, while in the current year - for now though, unknown when- the new Seat Leon is also expected.

Keeway RK600: New cheap street from China!

A new model called RK 600 Keeway announced. The new 4-cylinder motorcycle will be the first big street, from China, which will also be introduced to European markets.
According to the British journalist, Kevin Ash, where the first information came from, the RK6 is a bare 4 cylinder street, which will have a particularly low price and will be placed at the lower end of the category in terms of cost. Its design, as you can see in the photos it is quite modern. The rear shock absorber is mounted off-centre, the exhausts are under the saddle and the swingarm is reminiscent of SS motorcycles. The hybrid frame also manages to stand out.
Its front part is a grid and is made of steel while the back is made of aluminum plates. The image is completed by the inverted front fork and radially mounted 4-piston calipers.
According to the Brit, the 4-cylinder engine seems to come from Yamaha and even from a previous generation R6, while its performance is close to 90 horsepower. The first models for the M. of Britain are expected to make their appearance this Spring and it is possible that we will soon see it on the Greek market as well.

Smyrna. The Destruction of a cosmopolitan city 1900-1922: Exhibition at the Benaki Museum

The Benaki Museum presents the exhibition "Smyrna. The Destruction of a cosmopolitan city 1900-1922 "which will last from 25 January to 26 February 2012.
Director and curator Maria Iliou and historical consultant Alexandros Kitroev, who had presented the 2007 at the Benaki Museum the exhibition The Journey, the Greek Dream in America, after 4 years of research, present their work on Izmir with unknown visual material from archives of America and Europe.
The special importance of the historical documentary and the exhibition is not limited to the unknown images from Smyrna but also to the new look that the two collaborators present in the historical events.. A look that distances itself from both an overly nationalistic narrative and newer attempts to conceal the tragic events of the catastrophe, distorting the truth.
Through this work, the cosmopolitan Smyrna par’ all that was destroyed, continues to exist.
It is still an idea that has to do with cosmopolitanism, the joy of life but also destruction.
Ninety years after the disaster, the documentary and the photo exhibition honor the lost world 1922, but also at the same time, the science of history.
The documentary and the photo exhibition of the same name are documented with rare photographic and cinematographic material collected from American and European archives..
For the first time, unknown images of Izmir are published from private collections such as that of Pierre De Gigord and from the archives of the Library of Congress, of Princeton and Harvard University, του Near East Relief, of the Imperial War Museum, of Pathe and other institutions in Greece and abroad.
The documentary of the same name will be screened at the Amphitheater (Koumbari 1) during the exhibition.

Etta James is not as famous as Aretha Franklin, or Billie Holiday and Nina Simone, at least to the general public. Those who love jazz though, they know the day he passed away in old age 73 years old a true musical legend.  Her best known song and her biggest success is At Last , known in America as the "first dance song" as it is probably the most popular song for newlyweds to dance to at their wedding.

The singer had been suffering from leukemia for many years, but also other diseases.   Known by the nickname 'Miss Peaches' she lived a rich life with many ups and downs. During her sixty-year career, she became addicted to heroin, opened concerts for the Rolling Stones, He won six Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Start it 1950 with a band she founded called Peaches, she was found by singer Johnny Otis who led her to a certain style of singing that took off her career.   By the end of the 70s her career had lost its luster but she managed to pick it up with tracks like “I’d Rather Go Blind,” which Rod Stewart also covered.  He was a master at combining many styles and switching from one style to another: R&B, soul, jazz and blues, there was nothing James couldn't sing.

Rock the Ballet by Rasta Thomas with the Bad Boys of Dance in Athens and Thessaloniki

The "bad guys» hisdancethey return in wild moods toAthenafor three spectacular performances on27, 28 & 29 January 2012 in the Badminton theaterand for two appearances atThessalonica, in theOpera Houseat31/01 and 1/02 2012.
A modern one, full of energy and sensual dance performance with beat music that passes like a storm wherever it finds itself (America, Europe and Australia) and leaves audiences and critics raving and charting hymns!
The same thing happened in Athens last year, in November 2010, when the -always generous with authentic vanguard- Greek audience filled Badminton for four nights (10-14/11) and welcomed for the first time the "ballet of the 21st century".
To “Rock the Ballet” it is a creation ofRasta Thomas, classical ballet soloist, who decided to throw away the "tight" leggings, to forget Tchaikovsky and Prokofiev for a while, re-examine the legacy of Rudolf Nureyev with a fresh eye and unleash his unparalleled talent dancing to the rock beats of Lenny Kravitz, of U2, of Journey, of Queen and many, many others! With Adrienne Canterna, husband and companion, to sign most of the choreography and the Bad Boys of Dance a group of excellent male dancers (and a dancer) to contribute to the scenes, Rasta Thomas as a worthy leader, present a "work", in which the traditional techniques of classical ballet coexist and "mix" with the wild, intense movements of modern dance, the difficult and dangerous stunts of gymnastics, but also the rhythmic figures of hip hop or the atmospheric ones of a jazz interlude. Giving like this, a kick in the knees of the strict rules that raised him. And they created him!
From the 2008 until today, Rock the Ballet has performed more than 600 sold out shows all over the world, among them those of Greece,  rising above 300.000 spectators!!!
