The world's oldest Ford is up for auction

This is a Model A that was built in 1903

The oldest surviving Ford car, is about to be auctioned by the well-known RM Auction.

It is a copy of the well-known Model A which was manufactured in 1903, by order of Herbert L. McNary, a butter producer from Iowa.

In 109 years of its existence, it has just changed hands 5 times. It is powered by a two-cylinder engine 1668 cc, which yields 8 horsepower. It has two speeds plus reverse. The maximum speed it can develop is 45 km/h.

The price it is expected to fetch at the auction to be held in Hershey, Pennsylvania, ranges from 300.000 until 500.000 dollars.

From this week, new shows raise their curtain

The premieres are starting to come out, like mushrooms, after the first crumbs…. From this week, the theater returns to its normal rhythms, with the new shows raising their curtain, almost on a daily basis.

The third bell is about to ring immediately in three central theaters:

Giorgos Kimoulis proposes an "Interview": He interprets a discredited, most, a war correspondent who accidentally meets a TV star _played by Dimitra Matsouka. The relationship that develops between them is …conflict. This is the work of Holman and Van Gogh that we met on the big screen first in the Dutch production with the signature of Theo Van Gogh (2003), and then the American one , the 2007 by Steve Buscemi _who co-starred with Sienna Miller.  Kimoulis directs and co-writes the translation and adaptation with Akis Dimos. The scenography is by Yannis Metzikofs. Premiere on Friday 12 October, in the Athens theater, at 21.00. Performances every Thursday and Friday at 21.00, every Saturday at 18.00 and 21.00 and every Wednesday at 19.00.  

On Friday, Grigoris Valtinos also starts at the Ilisia theater (in the photo on the left), with John Presley's play "The Inspector Comes" in his own performance – directing. With him are Odysseas Papaspiliopoulos and Kerasia Samaras, Manos Zaharakos, Kostas Vasardanis, Eftychia Giakoumis and Stavros Nikolaidis.

Third premiere, on Friday, with "Our Big Circus" of Iakovos Campanellis, the show that toured all summer and is now installed at the Acropolis theater, ushering in the new season. Directed by Sotiris Hatzakis and with music by Stavros Xarchakos, the work written in the post-colonial period, carries its pulse to today. They play: George Armenis, Tasos Nousias, Marina Aslanoglou et al.

The Badminton Theatre is preparing to host a musical tribute to the songs of the leading Greek composer Manos Hadjidakis on Friday 9 November 2012.

The series of concerts "The Themes of Greek Music and Greek Song", edited by the composer Michalis Koubios, begins with a concert event. Much-loved songs from the colorful planet of Manos Hadjidakis, as they were recorded in the discography as works with the titles "Popular market" and "Roman market", where one of the performers was Ilias Liugos.

My mother, The Cypress tree, There is a dance in Lavrio, It's dawning, (It goes) The train left, A magical city, He came from the north, came south, Paper moon, Love for being a double-edged sword, Wide sea, The mandolin, The sea is deep... Indicative few titles from the program, to be overwhelmed by the charming musical language of the great Greek composer. Yes, Manos Hadjidakis was a charmer. And this charm of his is the quintessence of his music, which disturbs our senses and thinking.

They sing (in alphabetical order): Calliope Vetta, Christos Thebeos, Ilias Liugos, Andrianna Babalis, Orpheus Peridis.

Volvo: S60s are coming, S80 and XC90

THE Volvo it started the refresh with the XC60 a few years ago and has shown that it is on the right track. Now with the V40 shaking up the German establishment at the upper end of the subcompacts, made promises that the future of Swedish Volvo will be even more exciting. Through the mouth of the head of marketing and sales Doug Speck, it was announced that the new generations of S60 and S80 will not be just facelifts with modified bumper and headlights, but they will involve radical renewals that will drastically change the image of luxury sedans.

Breakfast Mou EXCLUSIVE: All the news from the auditions!

They still remain without a contract with Mega , according to Yupiii's information, Giorgos Liagas and Fai Skordas, while the auditions continue to find a partner who will fill the void of Tasos Theodorou and Mary Synatsakis in “Breakfast Mou”.

The two presenters, who managed to give high numbers in the morning entertainment zone of Mega,  they have come to an agreement with the channel but still haven't signed. According to information, they are unhappy with the cuts that have been made for another year in their financial earnings as well as in the budget of the show - dissatisfaction that they even expressed during their meeting with Petros Bhutto that took place last week.

In between, tomorrow, Wednesday, the second audition will be held to find the new partner of the show, and mainly models will take part in it, while, according to exclusive information of Yupiii, from the first audition the executives of Mega and the show were not completely satisfied: “What we wanted from the beginning was for the person to be found to be a fresh face who is comfortable, humor and clever quip" says a source from the channel.

Regarding the first day of auditions and the people who participated in it, the names of Anna Prelevich have already been written, Laura Narges, Anastasia Perrakis and Alcistis Anifantis, while two models and a presenter from MAD also took part.  But according to Yupiii's report, Melina Kokkori also auditioned - who had also auditioned for Eleni Menegaki's show- but also the co-presenter of Dimitris Ougarezou on MAD radio.
