The Unified Food Control Agency (APPEAL) issued on its official website advice on what to pay attention to when shopping ahead of Easter.

EFET is intensifying the controls carried out on the food market during the Easter period in order to protect the health and interests of consumers from undermining practices, mainly for the meat market. In particular, EFET advises:

Do not buy lamb carcasses (lambs and goats) which do not bear the prescribed seals because they did not undergo the necessary veterinary-sanitary control and were probably slaughtered in places not controlled by the Veterinary Services and under unsanitary conditions. For all domestically produced lamb carcasses, the seal of approval is turquoise’ ('bright blue', pigment E 133) and is oval or round in shape, where the approval number of the slaughterhouse is indicated. The country of origin should be written on a rectangular parallelogram stamp, 'THEY’ ή 'THE'. For lamb carcasses originating from Community countries the seal of suitability is turquoise’ ('bright blue', pigment E 133) or red (pigment E 129, red Aliura) and is oval or round in shape, where the approval number of the slaughterhouse is indicated. A rectangular parallelogram stamp should contain the initials of the name of the Community country of origin, For the carcasses of amnoerifis imported from third countries, Greek or not slaughter, all stamps must be in 'brown', (coloring E155) i.e. the stamp of suitability (oval or round) and a stamp of a rectangular parallelogram inside which is also written the name of the third country, Each carcass must be stamped on both shoulder blades and on both outer sides of the thighs. Consumers should be aware that carcasses which do not bear any seals, or bear stamps other than those prescribed, are bound by the competent control authorities.  THE Annual Art Exhibition of Elefsina  , for the 9th year this year, calls the creators, where they live, originate from or are inspired by Eleusis, to narrate their experiences through visual language, with individual or group works of art of any kind. THE deadline for submitting the participation file  in the report is up to Thursday 11 May  . Detailed conditions of participation and more information can be found on the website of the exhibition .
 The objective of the Municipality of Elefsina is "…T’ nice trip…», even if reality does not come close to places of mythical and poetic utopia, let art itself become the way, the adventure, the shelter and the destination. The need to travel, both as movement, as well as a mental shift in space and time, it seems to be passed down in our genetic material, as the myth of Odysseus  .  
In a time of domestic hardship and international turmoil, so far from that of Homer, the desire to escape from the relentless everyday life, the hope for something better, but also the nostalgia for the other "homeland" of memory , they remain universal and relevant. Wandering either for reasons for survival, either for recreation and spiritual pursuit, offers experiences and stimuli, while satisfying our curiosity about the unknown and the expectation of attractiveness new worlds.  
And we don't always have to go far: sometimes thought becomes a vehicle, bringing into the closed room allegories, fantasies, scam countries. Art is also a "travel" medium par excellence, enough to act as an antidote to mental laziness, expanding our horizons towards a deeper understanding of the essence of the world.

IMF chiefs send message to Donald Trump in favor of unhindered global trade, the World Bank and the World Trade Organization, after the meetings they had in Berlin with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.   As reported by skai.gr, at the joint press conference they gave, The leaders of the three multinational organizations essentially expressed their concerns about the signals of economic nationalism and trade protectionism that the Trump administration has given to the United States.   Greece was not mentioned at the press conference, nor were any relevant questions asked by journalists. The issue of the Greek debt was expected to be raised at Christine Lagarde's meeting with Ms. Merkel Ms. Lagarde highlighted the importance of multilateral trade and organizations, while the head of the World Bank, Jim Yong Kim, expressed hope that Donald Trump will show flexibility and understand the positions and importance of global economic organizations.   From his side, the director of the WTO, Roberto Azevedo, he emphasized that the global crisis of his decade 1930 exacerbated in part by the unilateral and protectionist responses of some countries. On the contrary, he said, in the wake of his crisis 2008 many countries reacted within the framework of collective institutions.   The institutions' message comes less than two weeks before the Spring Meeting of the IMF and the World Bank in Washington, where leaders and central bankers from around the world will meet for the first time since Trump took office.

The Madrid Declaration was released by the Prime Minister's Press Office, following the Summit of the countries of the European south that took place today in Madrid.   Alexis Tsipras took part in the Synod, along with the leaders of France, of Italy, of Spain, of Cyprus, of Portugal and Malta.   Declaration of Madrid Summit of the countries of the South of the European Union 1. We, the Heads of State and Government of Cyprus, of France, of Greece, of Italy, of Malta, of Portugal and Spain, we met in Madrid for the 3rd Summit of the countries of the South of the European Union on 10 April 2017.   Following the 1st Summit held on 9 September 2016 in Athens, and of the 2nd Summit in Lisbon on 28 January 2017, we met again, this time in Madrid, in order to reaffirm our commitment to work together for a strong and united European Union. Together, we would like to reflect on our common work and contribute (we contribute) in the current debate about our common future.
