Citroen C5 Aircross: His soul mate 3008

A series of photos of the C5 Aircross have been released, of Citroen's large SUV based on the Aircross prototype.

Not many details have officially leaked from Citroen, but information indicates that it is based on the EMP platform 2 of PSA which is also used by Peugeot 3008. The specific platform is not the only thing that the two models share as their engines will be the same (the turbocharged units 1.6 and 1.8 liters of performance 167 and 204 horses, which are combined with an automatic transmission 6 relations, and the expected 2.0-liter turbo).
In addition to the regular version of the SUV, Citroen also plans a long-wheelbase, seven-seater version in line with VW's Tiguan Allspace/L.
Citroen will introduce the new C5 Aircross in China in the 3rd quarter of this year, after its premiere at Auto Shanghai in a few days.
