of Kostis Plantzos
Motivation to take back the signs also gives for the 2017 the Ministry of Finance, to interested owners of I.X. vehicles, cars or motorcycles, who have put them to rest.
According to an amendment submitted to Parliament by the Ministry of Finance, in order to increase public revenues, the owners are given the option for the year as well 2017, to remove the immobility by paying traffic fees, having to choose between the following three options:
• To remove time immobility 1 month are paid 2/12 of the corresponding annual circulation fees.
• To remove time immobility 3 months are paid 4/12 of the annual circulation fees.
• To remove immobility for the rest of the year and until its end 2016 one twelfth of the amount of the annual vehicle registration fees remaining from the date of removal until the end of the year plus 2/12 of the corresponding annual fees.
It is recalled that, same as last year, the above three options are, case by case, binding and it is not possible to choose another time period beyond those expressly mentioned in the provision. It should be noted that the immobility is lifted following a written request from the owner of the vehicle.
Based on a circular issued on the same subject last year by AADE, the month in which the immobility is lifted is counted as a whole month, regardless of the exact day of withdrawal.

Mitsotakis responds to the closing of the evaluation with elections

Connecting to the source…
Ef’ a confrontation of all the material with a focus on the course of the economy and the content of the agreement that has been launched for the closure of the second evaluation, Kyriakos Mitsotakis will attempt with his today's intervention in the parliament during the debate on the establishment of an inquiry committee for health, insisting on his demand for elections and the need for "political change".   The choice of hardening the attitude towards the government is a given for the official opposition party and is part of a strategy that considers that the second half of 2017 will be a turning point for political developments and’ in this period, the future of the present government will be judged based on the same reasoning. S’ in this context the president of the ND wants to strengthen the political pressure on the government and will strengthen his argumentation for an immediate appeal to the polls by focusing on three issues.   The first concerns the criticism of the content of the agreement, referring to "Tsipras property measures". Secondly, will stick to his criticism that the bill was raised because of government delays and "ideologies" and a third, Mr.. Mitsotakis will highlight the issue of the debt in the direction that its regulation requires a new reliable government and that the prime minister does not have the guarantees to achieve its reduction.   For the ND the issue of elections becomes even more urgent on the grounds that the longer they are delayed the more the hands of the next government will be tied to follow a different policy mix, while a new loan agreement should be considered inevitable to finance the needs of the countries after the 2018.

Tehran warns: A new US attack on Syria 'will not go unanswered'

Link to source for more articles.
A new action by the United States against Syria will not go unanswered, Iran's Defense Minister Hossein Deghan warned today, after talking earlier, separately, with his Russian and Syrian counterparts.   Iran, a close ally of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, has strongly criticized US missile strikes against a Syrian regime airbase, last week. "The American people will have to pay a high price if they repeat their action and know that their action will not go unanswered" Degan warned in a phone call with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.   The Iranian minister also accused the Americans of lying when they say they want to "fight terrorists".   "Instead of bombing (s.s. the terrorists), they are bombing the Syrian army and the Syrian people. The front of resistance (s.s. Iran, Syria, Hezbollah and their allies) will continue to fight resolutely against terrorists, against the will of the Americans", he added.   According to the announcement posted on the ministry's website, Degan also spoke with his Syrian counterpart, Fahd al-Freij. Both referred to "strengthening their cooperation to intensify their operations against terrorists". With the term "terrorists" Iran labels all armed groups fighting the Assad regime.   The two ministers also called for the establishment of a "truth commission" to investigate what happened and "show the truth, against the false claims of the Americans" for the chemical weapons attack on Khan Seihun.

HE DOES: Athens misleads lenders

She severely criticizes the Greek government with her extensive commentary on the course of reforms in Greece. Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung .   In its article entitled "Athens misleads lenders" the Frankfurt newspaper estimates that "because the government in Greece is postponing long-standing reforms, there is a risk of a bumpy landing. Because the third bailout and loan program for Greece breathes it 2018. The country is still a long way from a minimum degree of economic recovery", notes FAZ, considering that it is currently doubtful that the Greek state will be able to resume full management of the economy after the end of the current program.   "Because for’ for this, the government should have radically renewed the state apparatus and strengthened the development forces of the private economy". These two actions, emphasizes the German newspaper, were foreseen in detail in the context of the rescue programs and are a commitment of the Greek governments. However, structural changes "not done yet", FAZ observes and comments: "Out of nationalistic stubbornness and populism, but mainly because of the commitments towards their customer groups, neither the conservative government of Antonis Samaras nor the far-left cabinet of Alexis Tsipras identified with the reformist conditions".   Fri.’ all these, as estimated by FAZ, "no European politician wants a new drama around Greece this year, not even Alexis Tsipras. Therefore, the partners will content themselves with some symbolic reform actions and will otherwise focus on fiscal arithmetic", the commentator estimates, stressing that "it will soon be too late to make up for neglected structural reforms", while accusing the Greek prime minister and his party comrades of "continuing to do everything in order to hinder recovery moods and investments".   Link to source…

Thyroid cancer is linked to… the couch

Connecting to the source…
The couch is probably the most… favorite piece of furniture in the house, since it is where we rest after a long day or take a quick midday nap. But scientists are coming to destroy the cult relationship we have with our couch, since they warn that its fabric can expose us to carcinogenic substances.
According to new data presented at the recent conference of the Endocrine Society (ENDO 2017) in Orlando, Florida, flame retardants used in furniture fabrics appear to be associated with the most common form of thyroid cancer, τον papillary thyroid cancer (PTC). Although these substances have been largely banned, they are still used in the housewares industry.
Previous animal studies have indicated that numerous classes of flame retardants act as endocrine disruptors that interfere with the functioning of the thyroid gland, in part because their chemical structure closely resembles that of thyroid hormones, explains the head of the research team, Ann Sosa, professor of surgery and medicine at Duke University, North Carolina. “According to the results of our investigation, greater exposure to a variety of flame retardants in the home environment may be associated with diagnosis but also the seriousness of papillary cancer".
Sosa states that thyroid cancer is the form of cancer that presents her faster growth in the USA, with most new cases involving papillary cancer. Based on studies that indicate that environmental factors may be involved in this development, the professor and her colleagues estimate that flame retardants in the home may possibly explain the observed increase.
